Cross-country skiing at Katschberg

Cross-country skiing on the Katschberg

Just 500 m away from the Hotel Lärchenhof, access is available to the Katschberg cross-country skiing-trail. A classic cross-country slope over 8 kilometres in length provides unique insights into the natural surroundings of the Katschberg area. The slope is characterised by challenging inclines & descents and stands out due to its fantastic panoramic views and excellent refreshment stops.

In the Pöllatal, which is about 5 minutes away from the Hotel Lärchenhof, you are greeted by an 8 kilometres, very well-tracked slope. It proceeds through the nature conservation area and protected landscape of the Pöllatal. You also have the option of stopping off for some refreshments in the Pöllatal in an alpine lodge.

The Lungau cross-country skiing paradise - the Murtal slope is about 31 kilometres long and also very suitable for beginners. The access point is in Stranach, around a 7 minutes car drive from the hotel. From there you can either ski down the river for 19 kilometres or up the river for 12 kilometres (classic and skating options available!)
